Events in Russia

eventsinrussiaIf you are going or considering to visit Russia, and are checking what to see on a particular date and/or in a particular region beyond Moscow and Saint Petersburg – Events in Russia is quite a helpful resource.

I came across it a few days ago and found it really nice for these reasons:

First, it features a variety of types of events across all regions in Russia. Just click ‘Search’, select a region and select a tag – a type of an event you are after. So far the website’s catalogue contains more culture and entertainment types of events: festivals, concerts, street festivals and shows, sports. I guess with the development of this project we will see business events added to the catalogue, too

Second, there is a calendar of events which is handy if you are looking for the information for some particular period of time

Third, the information is in Russian AND English. The English version is missing the blog section and in my view, the translations are not perfect sometimes, but overall it is good and hardly can put one off.  The main pieces of information  – what, where, when – are covered. And important, there is no language barrier for you to discover some  authentic event somewhere in the Russian far-away area that would be just right for you!
